    Anyone watched the show? :D
I just finished the first 3 seasons last night and i liked it.
I expected much more since Abrams told me that it defiantly beats House at intellect and smart lines/ talk therefor i was a little disappointed. :o But per total, show was alright...entertaining.

Seems to me though a little extreme having to wait for season 4 'til end of 2015. :|

I love the books, and the writers do a good job on Doctor Who. Why am I not watching already?! :tard2:

Yeah..if stuff like production values bothers you, please hold out long enough, the production values get way better in the Matt Smith era.
the episode that hooked me was "Blink"

and to me anyway, the show has a lot of heart, wonder and a defense of what's good in humanity..(at least with Smith and Tennant, who are very very likeable)the sci-fi bit just happens to be alongside it.

One of my favorite shows. I caught it on Netflix a while back and could not get enough of it. Finished the three season fairly quickly and I got my niece into the show as well. Anyways, I hope to see a season 4 of this because it's just so good. It certainly beats that Elementary show where Watson is a woman.

Episode one of season three is definitely one that's worth repeat viewing..all the clever funny little details, it's so well done :D

and Anderson's take on Sherlock fake death was so funny

Ok, apart from a sluggish start (must be because I watched both the unaired pilot and the 1st episode) by the end I was loving the show.
Even if Sherlock shooting the bad guy just like that was a bit :mistrust:
But even then, I had to roll my eyes at
    Moriarty being back
. how will they make it good?

this being set in modern times makes me unsure, but maybe I'll watch the pilot and give it a go. Is it one of those that really hook you only 5 episodes down season 1 or is it insta series goodness ? :banana7:

the pilot wasn't shown on TV, and though it's high quality production, it's a draft of the first episode (not exactly the same, and I even prefer some acting bits better in it). It's a mini-series so each episode is 1h20m. I think it's good right away, but with so few episodes, you should watch it all anyway

I wouldn't place it in my top 5. It was just alright, captivating and entertaining, but maybe not so much my cup o'tea. @beer , i'd give it a go. Personally i'll check for season 4 in 2015 . :)

    News!!!

For a successful show with millions of fans, the BBCÔÇÖs Sherlock certainly has had a limited run. With three seasons totalling only nine episodes, the show has succeeded in making everyone really excited about even the smallest crumbs dropped by its cast and crew. So when Martin Freeman publicly revealed that there might be a one-off Christmas episode of Sherlock in the offing, there was much joy in the blogosphere.

Now Freeman informs a desperate public that the Christmas special will likely be coming in December 2015; at least, thatÔÇÖs his understanding, and he should know. HereÔÇÖs what Freeman told The Telegraph (via Collider)

If thatÔÇÖs going to be a special ÔÇô IÔÇÖm speaking off-message here; if this was New Labour IÔÇÖd get fired ÔÇô I think that might be for next Christmas. A Christmas special. ThatÔÇÖs what I understand.
Although this is being described as a one-off Christmas special ÔÇô i.e. not the first instalment of SherlockÔÇÖs next season ÔÇô let us remember that Season 3 of Sherlock was only three episodes long. In the balance of things, a single episode is pretty significant.

Freeman also confirmed that WatsonÔÇÖs wife Mary (played by FreemanÔÇÖs real-life spouse Amanda Abbington) intends to remain on the show, so everyone hoping for Sherlock and Watson to declare their love for each other is just going to have to wait.

Given the schedules of Freeman, co-star Benedict Cumberbatch, and showrunner Steven Moffat, itÔÇÖs unlikely that filming on the one-off episode will begin until early 2015. And thereÔÇÖs still absolutely no saying when we can expect to see season 4 of the show. Basically, any new and extended Sherlock is a long way off. For now, weÔÇÖll just have to make due with this Christmas special, which I suppose isnÔÇÖt the worst thing in the world, right?
