Natural Supplements and health benefits

    Hey guys!
    Not sure that i chose the correct titles, but nevermind... you'll get what i mean.

    I've been having problems with my thyroid since many years now and no matter the treatment, it always seems to deteriorate and it barley function anymore. I've reach 75mg thyroxine +150mg iodine. (i started with 25mg :yesyes) The thing is that not many people realize what a huge role thyroid plays in our mental health and in out general physical well being. And with the hormone replacement therapy, you're still never your old self, because if you suffer of it you'll know that it all depends of how well your body absorbs the pill that day. You'll always have this carousel feeling: either well and energized or low bottom that it's hard to get out of bed. Let alone the whole other bunch of symptoms that don't go away.

    So i decided to help myself and did some research and daily i've been taking 1 tea spoon of chia seeds and 1 tea spoon of flaxseeds, apparently they're both very healthy and helpful in thyroid issues (not only!)
    + 1 time/ week - 1/2 tea spoon coconut oil.

    Do you how of any healthy supplements that we should all integrate in our daily diet? Do you use any?

    Yes! I know plenty but before I delve into that how is are the Chia and Flaxseed helping your thyroid issues? I've been telling my wife the same thing.

    I'm not sure now if because of the seeds i've been taking, but a few days ago i've slightly overdosed on thyroid hormones and the dr. told me to the phone that maybe we should alternate the 75mg with 50mg for two month. :thumbsup: I'm in re-adjustment treatment. Let's see!

    I know that both flax and chia seeds are pumped with a particular type of Omega-3 fat, which helps with balancing the hormonal (and mood) levels, critical for a better functioning of the thyroid. And plenty of omega 3 fatty acids help with lowering the sugar in the blood, which also help with the weight issues cause by the thyroid.

    I've also added 1-2 times/ week fish oil (even though i'm vegetarian), again because it's rich in Omega 3.

    And the coconut oil it good for your metabolism, no.1 problem with thyroid.

    good for :
    -low energy and mood
    -fights fatigue
    -healthy brain function
    -immune system

    But there are some studies who show that in women, coconut oil increases risk of Alzheimer. So i take only 1/2 tea spoon every week.

    I only know of cod liver oil, that usually was given to kids, including me. :tears:

    Oh! if we count the vitamins too, i take D and E with my Fish oil together and i take the B complex in cures of 3 months yes, 3 months no, since i'm vegetarian and i lack B12 by default :lol:

    As about iodine, i can't take separately because it comes with my thyroid hormones together as prescribed from my endocrinologist. 150mg daily.

    Awhile ago.
    We took each 1 tablet on super empty stomach and my husband was like: omg. wtf !? i'm so dizzy.
    and i was like : c`mon, it's nothing. Prly anxiety or something.
    And we went for a walk and i started feeling so creepy: dizzy and tired, but slightly euphoric . Exactly like after you've consumed 2 beers.

    We had so much fun. The people who got high on cold liver oil :tard:
    Dunno what happen` We both have low blood pressure and i'm assuming the CLO dropped it more...dunno.
    But it was the first and last time we took. 20 euro packet of it lies in my medicine cabinet. :tard:

    I drink Bragg (raw organic) apple cider vinegar
    I take raw organic local honey in the AM and before bed
    Coconut oil supplements and cook with it
    Oregano oil
    Omega-3
    I use cinnamon a lot too
    Colloidal copper
    Colloidal silver

    a few other things that I can't think of right now

    I use apple cider vinegar too :thumbsup:
    Again i'm reading that it helps with lowering the blood sugar lvls
