what Pakistan? Current one? It's mess, torn apart almost like Ukraine, can't choose between iron cage of PRC or USA Golden One. And have dreams of being free, but free it will had to be put down, because it would go crazy. Fucking monkey with AK. They had to be chained, and gagged.

around 32 or less. Upgrades? Almost none :nono: NATO standard radios, GPS receivers, TACAN, IFF and "miled" NATO gauges. There was plan for deeper modernization, but is more likely dropped, due that we plan to buy 48-64 new planes around 2020-22, and Migs along old Su-22s are considered "transition" types to keep cadres in Air Force, but unofficially this is just "test" batch of R-27s in cheapest variant, to check quality of Ukrainian products - if test fires etc. will be good, we may buy more advanced variants, like presented recently R-27 version with french MICA-IR guidance system, that ukies are proposing.

well that's a shame, still a very capable bird.

what's 'miled', US metric system reading stickers on gauges ? :P

do Ukies even have a viable arms industry anymore ? they missed on delivery to Thailand, the T 84 'oplot' failed testing in Pakistan, IAF Antonovs there for upgrade were reported missing or worse.

and last I checked they had 0 air against NAF buk, pantsir, osa or even iglas

Polish AF got F35 plans ?

Yeah, NATO standard gauges with feet etc. And not in cirlic. :tard2:

Dunno, that why we are buying "test batch". T-84s are accepted in Thailand soo... Also Ukies Planes had bad shape, and budgetary problems, they had modern products for export but government didn't had money for own armed forces...

F-35 is contender, also we hear about Silent Eagle, Typhoon, Rafale and Advanced Super Hornet, most likely there will be sort of yours MRCA competition.

Deep modernization without support of RKS MIG would be very difficult, but at least we have capability for general refurbishment of 29s, recently we got contract for mantienece of Bulgarian ones.

ok, not all bad though, gauges in themselves are better than MFD because they're supposedly ok against emg attacks, gallons/literes... tomatoes/tomatoes

Ukies got literally just a handful of 29s left operational now.. they should be the last place to buy gear now, Putin hurt them bad lol

    silent eagle looks great

but no takers, I think it was pitched to Saudia but they went for the SA advanced 'regular' version, great plane though.

MMRCA thing failed bad here, in the end it was Rafale vs Typhoon but Rafale won on the life-cycle/maintenance costs bit, Hollande is here now but no progress on Rafale deal, only 36 for now, which is a joke, final figure should read at least 100 or close to it.

NATO guys probably get a better deal, though... I think the Japs and Israel will be the first ones operating them in large numbers.

Well... factories and plans still exist. Polish MIG-21s don't fly since YEARS and still we did refurbishment of Angolan ones, Thai's are satisfied with T-84's, some export customers are good with BTR-4s, and ex-Ukies BUK's kicked Russian AF in Georgia (even got Tu-22M!), problem is - government don't have money on mantienece- but private, semi-private and even state factories have workers, plans, new prototypes, shelfs full of advanced ex CCCP projects and new ones too. They NEED money, so if we say that if they gonna be good we gonna get more... Especially that we don't have any more options about getting equipment for our systems left form Warsaw Pact times...

true, Georgia really exposed the RU AF

current Ukistan was one of the main industrial military hubs for the soviets back then, should've kept the nukes..

they also fucked up with the Thais, or at least this is what I last saw on it.. disaster war against 'rebels', bulat delivery and trials failed in Thai and Pak, nasty rumors about other foreign stuff in for upgrades, Ukies are fucked.

Yeah, but as for our 29 fleet we need SOMETHING, and no one friendly to us produce guided aircraft weaponry for russian planes... I think that this test batch is good option, if it's gonna be good somehow we can buy more advanced types.

but still we need arms, for example if one of Baltic States is attacked. We need to contribute too, also we maybe would need arms for offensive propurses too.

apart from Turkey, biggest standing NATO army and 1st line of defense vs Boris, uncle Sam knows best... imo Russian aggression into east European NATO states is probably the least likely thing to happen anytime soon, too many other proxy theaters already gone hot.

and proper article 5 in the EU means more than in the Philippines, hopefully. :P

thing is Putin is trying to pull out few countries from EU and NATO, including us... And if Lithuania would exit NATO... then we can take Wilno back :tard2: (kidding, but we have same right for those territories like russia for crimea, also large minority and historically out land... but I personally wouldn't do them donbass.) Also there are other threads, like possible radicalization of one of neighbors. We got like 4 separate crisises in EU and crisises always awakes radical demons...
