I purchased another text book for my Mythology course here in college. It's for Native American myth. There's some really interesting stories in this book, oh man it's interesting. My favorite so far is The Coyote and the Strawberry. Look it up, it's a very humorous read.

I haven't bought a book in like two years. I am not proud of it I am just being honest! If I want to buy a new book it will be some kind of thriller because I can't stand reading slow books any more.

Civilian Warriors by Erik Prince.. "the inside story of blackwater and the unsung heroes of the war on terror"

an excellent follow up to the Jeremy Scahill book: "blackwater.. the rise of the world's most powerful mercenary army"

always good to see both sides of a story :|

I read Scahill's book three years ago. Was pretty good, buuut I'm guessing the right wingers call it biased, just like I bet the left wingers call Prince's book biased. :yao:

Pretty much in the sake of just posting something, the latest book purchase I made for myself was Cibola Burn, which I bought in (I think) July, already.
It's an above-average space opera; very easy to read, keeps you going just because you kind-of want to know what happens next. Not unlike Dan Brown's books. The first book introduced some cool horror/sci-fi ideas that got me hooked, but I've read the sequels pretty much out of inertia from there. They're making a TV series about it (to be aired on SyFy this year), though, so I expect quite soon a lot of more people will suddenly "become fans". :)
